A legendary road racing technician who won six World Championships, Erv Kanemoto came from humble beginnings, wrenching on go-karts for his sister. The Utah native and NorCal transplant soon switched to bikes and worked with Gary Nixon, but he is best known for his collaboration with Freddie Spencer to achieve Grand Prix success. Kanemoto eventually started his own team before becoming a consultant and then retiring.
