Bud Ekins was the iconic rider from So. Cal. who participated in many types of off road racing. He rode in desert and long distance enduros. He earned many metals in the International Six Day Trials and was an early factory Motocross rider competing in Europe. Bud became a stuntman when he jumped a fence for Steve McQueen in the 1963 movie "Great Escape". He continued his stunt work until retirement. Ekins was also a collector of motorcycles.
