Joe Biesecker and Jack Crawford co founders of Champion Speedway , Owego , New York, was the greatest speedway track in 47 states ! Our first night we had 297 fans and 12 riders, ran a full program, some pretty tired riders. That grew into thousands of fans and very nice purses .Created the US OPEN and the rotating 4 heat main, still being use today. We used to run an open practice and training school 1 night a week, free to all riders.
