Billy Clements started riding at an early age and became Pro at the age of 16. He was a pioneer in the early days of the US & International motocross scene riding for Edison Dye. He rode for the factory Husqvarna motocross team. He was the first American to earn a Grand Prix point in Luxembourg. He took first place in the 250 National Class in Puyallup, WA. He also had many wins at local California tracks.
