He entered his first desert race at 11 and at 15 had his first win at The Hopetown GP. He moved to expert the next year and started winning at Ascot against the fastest SoCal MX racers on a factory sponsored Maico. He enjoyed a win streak on ABC Wide World of Sports at the 1970 Bay Mare Inter Am. At 21, he enlisted & raced on The Army Motorcycle Racing Team He is curently Director of the Hangtown MX Classic.
