Hot Shoe Hall of Fame - The Idea
The idea behind the Hot Shoe Hall of Fame is to recognize the cream of the crop of flat track and speedway racers that used a very specialized tool, their steel shoe, to help them navigate dirt track corners at very high rates of speed. Steel shoe equipped racers quickly became known as "Hot Shoes" in the local and national events and markets where they participated.
The Hot Shoe Hall of Fame pays homage to these daredevil racers and their colorful careers and accomplishments.
"We are excited about the level of acceptance and participation we are seeing so far with the Hot Shoe Hall of Fame", says Gene Woods, Founder of the Hot Shoe Hall of Fame.
