One of the original Superstars of the modern era of speedway, smooth and highly competitive he was one of the guys to beat, little known fact he won the first U.S. Speedway championship in 1968 and after some controversy a week later the event was renamed the California State Championship, so the records show 1968 California State Champion. He went on to a successful career in race cars, and now builds Triumphs for the rich and famous.
