All the racing scouts firmly had their eyes fixed on Neil when he became of age with 3 older brothers all firmly competing at the highest level in the sport of speedway. Neil was a firm favorite with spectators as he too had the Collins tigerish abilities and his never say die attitude brought him much success and he was often included as a Team member for his country. He too was credited with a number of important victories.
