Competed: 1948-1958
Jerry’s first motorcycle was a Harley 45, his friend Art Hafer said, "If you’re going to ride, you might as well get paid for it!" Jerry began racing Hillclimb and TT, then switched to Flat Track on a '36 Indian Sport Scout. As Amateur in '50, he set a time trial record at the Springfield Mile. After earning his Expert license, he was drafted into the Korean war and served until wounded. Jerry returned to racing in ’52 and continued until '58.
