Mike began racing motocross in the late ‘60s and witnessed firsthand the European motocross invasion which caused the rise of motocross in America. Mike got with the MX program, and raced all over the US and Mexico, while focusing on Carlsbad and Saddleback where he won 3 CMC MX Championship titles: 1978 (125cc) and 1982 (250cc, 500cc), the only one in CMC history to have won all 3 classes.
