Ralph O’Dell (“Pappy”): Started racing in 1938. Ralph was one of the top racers in the Midwest during the late 30’s and early 40’s. He was the #1 rider in the St. Louis area, AMA District #15 aboard his Harley Davidson 80-inch Heavyweight, was also #2 on his H-D 45-inch Lightweight. A member of the famed “Belleville (IL) Wrecking Crew”. Ralph’s steel shoe was built from a bumper of an old Chrysler.
