Keith rode So. Cal. sportsman events and quickly became a top rider. He obtained sponsorships from Gilera, Greaves, Bultaco and Montessa. While moving up the ranks Keith won a Motocross event making him the first American to beat the Europeans in Castaic Cal. His big break came when he was hired by Yamaha in 1968 to ride the new DT-1 250. Keith went on to become National #19 on the National circuit. Keith became a 31 year fire fighter.
