Dag Lovaas

has been inducted into the

Hot Shoe Hall of Fame
February 18, 2021

Competed: 1969-1976

Dag is a great champion that won top titles in multiple countries. He became Norwegian Champion in 1973 and 1974, plus won the Mr. London 74 Trophy. He started speedway training on the frozen fjords in Norway. He cut down ice studs to simulate dirt riding, which had the side benefit of making him unbeatable racing in the rain and on wet, slick tracks. Local papers called him the "Rain Man"!
